arrblshade.gif (1167 bytes) Comparing the sample playback quality between SF4.0 and Cool Edit 96, SF4.0 is much 'noisier'. Both are set to 'waveplay' (not Codec). Is there something more I need to know about wave options?

No answer yet. But did you check your settings in the FX-panel?
